The Rainbows, Brownies, Guide, Rangers and Leaders of our Wigmore Guiding family welcome you.
We are in the Rainham South District and Gillingham Division which is part of the London and South East Region (LaSER) and Kent West County. We meet every Friday evening during term time. We are a thriving unit in our area comprising of girls between the ages of 10 and 14 and 8 leaders.
Each term the Guides and Leaders decide on a programme of events. Once this is complete a copy is then emailed to all parents and can also be found in the Parents and Guides sections of the website.
Our unit is arranged into patrols. Each patrol has a patrol leader and seconder. The girls work in their patrols to plan and carry out events, the Guiding programmed and complete badges. We also work together as a unit or individually to on certain projects.
Once your daughter has been to Guides for a few weeks with the intention of continuing, she will be asked to make a commitment in the form of a promise. Once she has decided to make her promise, she will need her uniform and a badge book. These can be purchased from us or online at GirlGuidinguk.
Each term we organise a number of trips or external activities, and also every year we organise either a camp under canvas or an indoor holiday. You will be informed well in advance of the actual dates and costs, and we only use official Guide and Scout campsites.
